CNC Vertical Turning
Two CNC vertical lathes for round parts up to Ø2,500 mm and 15 t: rings, flanges, wheels and discs that are too large or heavy for a horizontal lathe.
- Turning diameter up to Ø2,500 mm
- Workpieces up to 15 t
- OD, ID, faces and grooves
Overview
Vertical Turning of Large-Diameter Components
Heavy rings and short, wide cylinders are best turned on a vertical lathe: the part rests on the table under its own weight instead of hanging from a chuck, which keeps it stable and round.
We turn outer and inner diameters, faces, grooves and tapers, and can then pass the part to our boring-milling machines for holes and keyways.
